MESSAGE FROM THE OIC-MEDICAL CENTER CHIEF
April 15, 2020
My fellow East Avenue Medical Center employees. First off is my heartfelt gratitude to all warrior-employees of EAMC for keeping up the relentless fight against the covid-19 virus that is causing this worldwide pandemic. The virus has proven to be a formidable enemy; invisible and deadly at that. To all the doctors, nurses, dentists, therapists, nursing attendants, midwives, medical & radiologic technicians, ancillary medical professionals, administrative personnel, contractual personnel, janitors & security guards I cannot thank you enough for the continued quality service you are providing in EAMC to serve the Filipino people. All of you have professionally performed exceptionally despite the great danger to self, profession, and family. Again, thank you all for your service and sacrifice. It has been more than 30 days since our fight against the covid-19 virus. To date, the covid-19 virus has so far infected more than 1.9 million worldwide with the Philippines contributing more than 5,000 cases including more than 350 deaths. The National Capital Region has the highest number of cases. At the moment, the infection shows little signs of slowing down and therefore our commitment to serve and provide for the medical needs of our countrymen must be sustained and renewed every day. And therefore, I encourage all EAMC employees to be professional and vigilant in our work, compassionate in how we care, and responsible in what we share; keeping in mind that this battle can only be won if EAMC stays together as one. We have been through several challenges and critical situations before overcoming them one by one simply because of our resilience, dedication, commitment, innovations, and professionalism. And I am sure that these good attributes will also hurdle EAMC through this medical crisis. “Kung hindi tayo, sino pa”, “Kung hindi ngayon, huli’ na”. Now, more than ever, EAMC must show its solidarity with the whole nation by doing its part no matter the limitations and accusations that come its way. We know and do better because after all we are EAMC. In behalf of management, I thank you all for your efforts, let us all keep up the good fight so that in the end we shall heal as one. I implore everyone to keep safe and stay healthy during these trying times. “Kaya natin ito, MABUHAY ANG EAMC, MABUHAY ANG PILIPINAS!”
